Privacy Act Information

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) generally provides that any person has a right to obtain access to federal agency records, except to the extent that such records, or portions of them, are protected from public disclosure by one of the nine exemptions or one of the three special law enforcement exclusions.

This website enables you to request records from the Naval Air Systems Command, Headquarters (NAVAIR) and the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River.  Requests for documents from these two commands can be sent using the On-line Request Form.  Requests for documents from the other NAVAIR field offices may be sent to the listed point of contact in the Points of Contact.   If you seek documents for any other agency, you may use the Related Links page, or contact the agency directly for more information.

The information contained in this website is not intended to be exhaustive.  You may obtain additional information from other Government resources, your own legal counsel, or FOIA POC.  This website is specific to the procedures that NAVAIR and NAWCAD Patuxent River follow for handling FOIA requests.

For more information on the FOIA, we encourage you to visit the Introduction to FOIA and Related Links pages.
